Freelance Facilitator – Contact Theatre Music Drop

Music Drop offers evening sessions for young people to drop in and work on their own music. This programme offers them access to a Mac Suite with Logic Pro, as well as a recording studio, mixing desk and instruments, free of charge.

Whether they’re a producer, performer, songwriter, or a combination of all three, they can use the space to create their own tracks, with the support of industry professionals.

Music Drop sessions will take place at Contact every other Thursday evening at 3.30pm – 5pm for 11 – 17 yr old or 5.30pm – 7.30pm for 18 – 30 yr olds.

Details about the role:

  • Looking for Industry professionals with a range of specialisms, but with an understanding of how to use Logic Pro.
  • There will always be two Music Facilitators per session, ideally with different specialisms from each other.
  • Contact Theatre are now looking to rotate facilitators every 4 months, to expose young people to a wider range of industry professionals across the year.
  • Pay will be £100 per evening, inclusive of planning and preparation.

What do you need to apply?

  • Enthusiasm for your specialism, with a desire to share your skills and knowledge with young people
  • A good understanding of how to use Logic Pro and recording equipment
  • Experience in facilitating sessions for young people
  • An understanding of how to safeguard young people
  • An enhanced DBS
