Victoria Jane & Ruby Wood: Music Workshop – Brighter Sound

Hailing from Huddersfield, Ruby Wood’s soulful yet distinctive voice has enabled her to front numerous projects; but she is perhaps best known as lead vocalist of the critically acclaimed Submotion Orchestra. In the past she’s toured with Bonobo’s live band and Nubiyan Twist, and collaborated with the likes of Krept & Konan, Franky Wah, Alfa Mist, GLXY and Roska.

During this event, Ruby will share how she’s dealt with challenges along the way, and been able to carve out a lasting career as a musician.

This event will last two hours with time at the end to chat, jam or freestyle. There’ll be plenty of chances to ask questions throughout.

A collaboration with Vic Meets, this workshop is for you if you’re:

• In the early stages of your journey into music and are looking for support and guidance
• Want to develop your skills and confidence, and try something new
• Keen to meet new people and make connections in the Manchester music scene
